Taste: 5⭐ The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The $9.90 special was a generous portion and easily enough for two people. Atmosphere: 5⭐ The restaurant is clean, modern, and beautifully designed. It’s perfect for dates, family dinners, or gatherings with friends. Value: 5⭐ The grand opening deals are an amazing value. The combo meals are affordable and great for sharing. Service: 5⭐ The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help. They checked on us regularly and made us feel very welcome. Recommendation: 5🌟 Highly recommend Yueyan for the great food, service, and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our first visit to Yue Yan. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Came here on a weekday lunch after seeing a few posts online. Got there and it was already pretty full—good sign. Taste 🦆 Half roast duck – nicely sliced, even thickness, tender meat with a bit of juice. The pancakes came stacked with parchment paper between each one, so no peeling struggle. 🦀 Crab roe tofu – served in a crab‑shaped dish (cute touch). The tofu was silky smooth. 🍗 $9.99 white cut chicken – skin was snappy, meat was tender, and the ginger‑scallion dip brought back that classic Hong Kong deli flavor. 🥬 $9.99 stir‑fried choy sum – came out with that wok hei (smoky wok aroma), cooked just right – crisp, sweet, and not greasy at all. Atmosphere Spacious and nicely decorated – modern Chinese style with a cozy vibe. Window seats get good light if you want photos. They also have private rooms that seat 10+, so it works for family dinners or group hangouts. Price They have a opening promo – five dishes at $9.99 each, max two per table, available all day Monday–Sunday. Beautiful! My mother-in-law remembered this place from when one of our best friends took her there..... great choice! The restaurant is where SW used to be until they shut down during Covid.... but the quality of the food, the service and ambiance erased the memories of 6 and more years ago. Tasteful presentation, nice chopsticks, plates, the works. I loved the flank steak but it's not for everybody, the fish was beautifully cooked and presented, seafood fried rice full of flavor, and those dumplings.... sumptuous. 10/10, highly recommended.

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner and waited a bit for the crowd to die down—totally worth it. The restaurant is beautiful and easily one of the nicest, most polished Chinese restaurants in Irvine. It’s super clean, spacious, and surprisingly quiet (no loud plate-clanging like you get at a lot of Chinese spots), which made the whole experience feel more upscale. The food was delicious—Chinese fusion done really well. Portions are a bit smaller than a traditional Chinese restaurant, but everything we tried was flavorful and felt thoughtfully prepared. We started with the Imperial soup (their “fancy soup”) and it was rich, comforting, and really tasty. We also ordered the sliced chicken with chili oil (great heat and flavor), braised string beans (so good), and the braised pork ribs, which were also delicious. For dessert, my son got the peach gummy dessert—light, airy, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Shoutout to our server, Yanny—she was friendly, thorough, and genuinely helpful.
